ABOUT ME

I love working with people and providing a space and environment of acceptance and peace, whether we are working on the present or on goals for the near future. I was the teenager in school who hid in the bathroom at lunch because I always felt anxious and awkward. I was the straight-A, Honor Roll, "had it all" teen who felt completely alone with people. I've been through the challenges of introversion, ADHD, and wanting to understand, and that desire led to my life-long passion for the field of Social Psychology. Why? Because I wanted to know WHY. Why did I feel the way I did? Why do others? What can we do? What can I do to help?

I knew by the time I was 17 years old that I wanted to work with youth and adults who faced similar challenges, and I have learned that people are very often helped by learning self-acceptance, enough about human behavior to understand that others' actions are likely not about them, skills for effectively handling various situations, and - above all - knowing that someone truly cares. People need acceptance, an objective, non-judgmental environment and an opportunity to be truly heard, and to be unconditionally accepted and valued.

All of us experience hard times. With my passion for helping others, my continuous studies in human services and behavior, I am especially attuned to how to turn it into a starting point on a new path. I am a certified Coaching Professional with years of experience, and my mission is to find your hidden potential and help you discover and nurture within you the necessary tools to develop and grow.

Life is too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled, and certainly to be perpetually exposed to stress and angst. Feel free to browse around, and to contact me with any questions you may have. There are multiple ways to reach me via this website, and one is right below. My name is Kristen, and I look forward to talking with you soon!
